In-Home Session Agreement: No Shade, Brighter Spaces
Last updated: 10 February 2026
1. What this session covers
In-home sessions are hands-on working sessions where I come to your home and work alongside you to organise your space. We tackle the physical work together—sorting, decluttering, and creating systems that work for your life.

Working from Home Packages: If you work from home and need the work done around you, we'll have a scheduled check-in at the start and end of the session. To respect your working day, any questions I have will be saved for these agreed times to avoid interruptions.
2. Confidentiality and privacy
Everything I see or hear in your home stays between us. I will not share details of your space, your situation, or our work together with anyone, and I do not use client stories for marketing without explicit permission.

No photos: To ensure your complete privacy, No Shade, Brighter Spaces does not take "before and after" photos of your home for marketing or social media. Your home is a private sanctuary and will remain so. You're welcome to take your own photos to track your journey. If you choose to share these and tag No Shade, please respect my privacy by not including my image without prior permission.
3. Your responsibilities
-
Your presence: You must be on-site at all times during the session
-
Correct address: Please provide your correct address when booking. If I arrive at the location you've provided and cannot reach you to obtain the correct address, the full session fee is payable
-
Mobile children: Collaborative sessions work best without mobile young children present. If you have mobile young children at home, the Work From Home Package is more appropriate—I can work independently while you look after them
-
Pets: Pets must be secured in a separate room during the session to ensure safety and focus for both of us
-
Final decisions: I provide expert guidance and physical work, but the final decision to keep or discard an item is always yours
-
Accessibility: Please ensure the working area is accessible and pets or children are supervised
-
Waste removal: I do not provide a waste removal service. I can advise on local recycling and donation options and help you bag or box items ready for removal
4. Booking and payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session.

Cancellation and rescheduling policy:
-
More than 48 hours' notice: Full refund minus 5% processing fee, or free reschedule
-
24 to 48 hours' notice: 50% refund minus 5% processing fee
-
Less than 24 hours' notice: Non-refundable
To reschedule: Use the link in your confirmation email for instant rebooking. If you can't access the link, contact me at katie@noshadebrighterspaces.com or 07303 127245.
To cancel: Email katie@noshadebrighterspaces.com or call 07303 127245. As much notice as possible helps, but I understand things come up.
If I need to cancel: If I need to cancel your session, I'll contact you as soon as possible to reschedule at a time that works for you, or provide a full refund if rescheduling doesn't work.
5. Travel and service areas
I primarily serve specific postcodes across South Wales and South West England. For projects outside these areas, I'm happy to discuss travel. Travel expenses and minimum booking durations will be agreed upon and paid for at the time of booking.

If you accidentally book a session outside my service area, a 5% cancellation charge applies to cover processing fees and administrative costs. Standard cancellation timings still apply.
6. Punctuality and session length
If you are late for your session, it will still end at the scheduled time to respect subsequent bookings. Sessions cannot be extended or credited due to late arrival.
For sessions longer than 4 hours, a short break will be factored in to ensure we stay focused and productive.
7. Use of AI during sessions
During in-home sessions, I may use Gemini AI on my phone to access my professional strategy playbooks and provide accurate timescales for specific organising tasks. The AI's camera processes visual information from your space in real-time to help assess the scope of work—these images are not saved or stored. This is a working tool, not documentation for marketing purposes.
8. Liability and insurance
Expert advice: No Shade, Brighter Spaces cannot be held liable for the loss or decrease in value of items you choose to discard, donate, or sell.
Accidental damage: While I take the utmost care, No Shade, Brighter Spaces will not be held liable for accidental damage or loss.
9. Session boundaries
In-home organising naturally involves emotional aspects—belongings carry memories, and letting go can bring up feelings. I'm here to support you through that process with empathy and without judgement, and we can work at a pace that feels manageable.
However, if our work moves into areas requiring therapeutic intervention (such as deep trauma, mental health crisis, or hoarding disorder), I may need to pause and redirect. This boundary protects both of us—these conversations need specialist support, not a decluttering session. I can provide referrals to appropriate specialists who can offer the support you need.
In-home organising addresses the practical and emotional aspects of decluttering within the scope of professional organising. This is not therapy or counselling.
10. What happens after
In-home sessions can be booked as one-offs or as part of a package. There is no obligation to book multiple sessions. If you'd like to continue working together, you can book another in-home session or explore virtual sessions for ongoing support.
11. Professional standards
I am a member of APDO (Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers) and abide by their code of ethics. I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
For full details on data protection, see my privacy policy at https://www.noshadebrighterspaces.com/privacy-policy.
By booking an in-home session, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
